Wills Neck is one of the highest points in Somerset and is the summit of the Quantock Hills, about 8 miles north west of the county town of Taunton. It stands at 384m high.
The name ‘Wills Neck’ comes from a Saxon word meaning stranger. It is possible to see Dartmoor, Exmoor, the Blackdown Hills, the Mendips and the Brecon Beacons from the top of the hill on a clear day.
There are several walks that take in the Quantock Hills and Wills Neck, some of which are quite steep. Download a map of one here
