Madeira has limited beaches but is a must for overall coastal visits. It has a rich variety from pebble beaches, lido, old towns, World natural Heritage sites, walking, mountain biking, diving and surfing. Again not really a beach holiday location but a must visit island. For beaches hop over to its neighbour Porto Santo just 11km long and 6km wide with plenty of beaches.
