Can be a good windsurfing beach.

West End Point beach is the usual white sand and an excellent surfing [point break], kite surfing and windsurfing location. Surf can be big as exposed end of the island.
Keep a lookout for turtles.

Cow Wreck beach is white sand and an ideal place for swimming as you have waist deep water with a perfect sandy bottom.
Good snorkelling and diving.

Loblolly Bay a white sandy beach is one of the popular beaches on Anagada, with great snorkeling and diving. The beach is protected by the reef.

There is only a small sandy beach with rocky shoreline so this is not a beach for sunbathing. Instead, Snorkel or dive in the summer, surf in the winter.
During the calmer summer months this is a popular bay for snorkeling and scuba diving. As part of the Mokuleia Marine Life Conservation District, Honolua Bay has an abundance of fish and coral formations. No fishing or spearing of fishing allowed as this is a protected marine life preserve.
During the winter high surf season the waves can provide very long rides due to the long flat reef.

Haleiwa Alii beach is large sandy beach and nearby marina noted for its swimming and surfing. Swimming is best in the small protected bay area on the South side of the beach.
The Oahu North Shore famous for the surf starts here and this beach has some of the best waves (right-hand reef break) in Oahu as it is on a very shallow reef. Very strong surf community.

During the summer months Waimea Bay is a family beach with safe swimming as the bay is calm and has a large sand area.
In Summer, Waimea Bay is popular with divers and freedivers. Also people come to jump off "da Big Rock" or "Jump Rock" - a rock that is positioned in the bay (use at your own risk!).
During the winter Waimea Bay changes where waves can be between 12 and 30 feet. This is a right-hand reef with a lot of history for intermediate or advanced surfers.
The Quiksilver Big Wave Invitational in Memory of Eddie Aikau takes place in this point to honor the legendary surfer and the first lifeguard of the North Shore of Oahu. Since its inception in 1984, the tournament has only been held seven times, due to a precondition that there be waves at least 20 feet high at Waimea Bay.
You can also find rock climbers on the cliff and in the dry cave on the beach.

Sand and reef beach famous for its surf.
When the waves are steep and powerful, they break furiously on the shallow reef. In calmer months, usually spring and summer, swimming is good over the sandbar.

On the northern end of the beach is Polihale State Park and southern Barking Sands Beach. This is the last section of Hawaii's biggest beach, one that stretches for over 12 miles. The sand dunes along this beach can reach up to 100-feet in height.
The entire beach is unprotected from the ocean so surf and strong currents make for dangerous swimming conditions, although the queen's pond area offers reef protection with a small, encircled reef area.
