Robin Hoods Bay Beach is located Whitby, North Yorkshire, UK
Robin Hoods Bay is a small fishing hamlet situated on the Yorkshire Heritage Coast just south of Whitby. The bay situated on a steep hill and marks the end of the coast to coast walk.
The beach is a great family location with beach, shingle and many rock pools. It is also large enough to cope with the summer crowds.
The Coastal walk between Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay is one of the best parts of the Cleveland Way National Trail. The Old Coastguard Station is one of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park Centres, exhibition and tourist information all at one location.
In the 18th Century the bay was reported to be one of the busiest smuggling communities on the Yorkshire coast.

Toilets, pubs, car park (although at the top of a steep hill), restaurants, shops, slip way.

Jun 2012 - Rock pool heaven
Review for location =, activites = , families = and relaxation = Brilliant for young children with a net. Tide goes out really far so safe to play. If you have time I recommend lunch in the pub overlooking the beach. A few small shops but a blessing to not be surrounded by seaside tat.
