Elmer Sands Beach is located Bognor Regis, West Sussex, UK
Elmer Sands beach is pebbles and wooden groynes at high tide but when the tide goes out the beach becomes a flat compact sand. Excellent family beach for all ages, beach games, rock pools and when tide goes out the water becomes very shallow making ideal conditions for swimming and beginner water sports as you can stand-up.
You have some very interesting rock islands forming part of the sea defense that at low tide become accessible. Great to explore for shells, shrimps and crabs.
If you get bored of just sitting on the beach you have a nice walk away from the built-up areas towards Climping Beach.
Facilities include:
- Shops and pubs just back from the beach.
- Elmer Sands sailing club does have an outside shower.
- Elmer sands estate has a grass playing field with basket ball hoop and a small children's play area.
Notes
Very hard to get access due to private beach side estates but this is the greatest benefit as it limits the number of people on the beach even on very hot days.
Dogs are permitted.

Jun 2010 - A great family beach
Review for location =, activites = , families = and relaxation = This beach is excellent for families and less busy than the local beaches at Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, partly due to difficult parking. The beach is pebbles at high tide but at mid to low tide you get a large area of sand and rock pools to explore. Good walk in either direction to Bognor or Climping when the tide is out. Dog friendly.
